Marie Callender’s has been a place I have went with my family since I was a small child. I have so many memories of going there to enjoy their Sunday Brunch with my family over the years. I still go every year with my husband and his family to Marie Callender’s for Sunday Brunch on certain holidays. There is always one central in which we can congregate and have a variety of tasty entrees to choose from.
This month I was invited to Marie Callender’s for a luncheon with some of my other female bloggers to check out the Backyard Barbecue. I do want to send a big thank you to Shelby Barone & Amy Barghesian from OC Mom Blog for organizing the event. Love you ladies! 🙂
The Backyard Barbecue is a special menu that is being offered at Marie Callender’s through September 26th! There is a variety of different super yummy BBQ entrees that start at $9.99 plus tax and include a slice of Marie Callender’s legendary pie! You cannot beat that! I think my favorite right now is their blueberry cream….amazing!! All pies apply to this offer except for cheesecake and seasonal or promotional pies.
The delicious bbq entrees included on this menu are BBQ Turkey Sliders with slow roasted turkey breast, thinly shaved and topped with coleslaw on mini ciabatta rolls and served with French fries, Tri-Tip Salad (This was my personal favorite!!) which comes with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, jack and cheddar cheese, chopped egg, red onion, and croutons tossed in a tangy ranch and also topped with gorgonzola cheese, slow roasted tri-tip & bbq sauce, and the third item offered is the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich which has slow cooked pork in bbq sauce with coleslaw and served with French fries…Do not forget, each of these entrees do come with a slice of Marie Callendar’s famous pie with over 30 flavors to choose from!
In addition to the entrees above, another part of this special promotion going through September 26 is the Build Your Own BBQ Platter for $15.99!! This is an awesome deal because you get to select two yummy bbq meats from a variety of 5 and you get two sides from 8 choices and of course you get a slice of pie of course!! BBQ meat selections include slow roasted and hand carved tri-tip, grilled bbq shrimp skewers, St. Louis BBq Ribs, grilled bbq chicken breast, and crispy chicken tenders. I miss Marie Callendar’s in my town. They have been gone for about three years from Tucson. I do go to Marie Callendar’s on occasion when I find it in another town. They have the best pies.
