I am so excited for the upcoming Temecula Valley Annual Barrel Tasting Weekend Event that will take place next weekend, on Saturday, January 25 and Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 11:00am to 4:00pm each day! I have been visiting Temecula Valley for years and we regularly enjoy this event that gives a great sampling of the wines of Temecula Valley!
At this event you can enjoy unfinished barrel and tank wine samples, as well as finished and newly released wines. The wineries each have their own amazing food selections to serve that pair perfectly with their wines. For each day, there are 19 different wineries participating and you can either buy the two-day pass to have the opportunity to select from any of the 19 wineries on day 1 and the 19 wineries on day 2 or you can buy a one day pass. Your ticket includes a one-time visit to each winery and wine and food samplings. You choose which wineries to visit at your own leisurely pace between the hours of 11:00am – 4:00pm on each event date. See all wineries participating on each day in photo below.
Ticket prices are as follows:
Saturday Only Ticket – $88 (19 wineries – includes wine & food sampling and souvenir glass for tasting)
Sunday Only Ticket – $78 (19 wineries – includes wine & food sampling and souvenir glass for tasting)
2-Day Ticket – $138 ((19 wineries on Saturday & 19 wineries on Sunday – includes wine & food sampling and souvenir glass for tasting)
2-Day Designated Driver Ticket – $68 (includes food sampling at 19 wineries on Saturday and 19 wineries on Sunday. Does not include souvenir glass)
Saturday Only Designated Driver Ticket – $48 (includes food sampling at 19 wineries. Does not include souvenir glass)
Sunday Only Designated Driver Ticket – $38 (includes food sampling at 19 wineries. Does not include souvenir glass)

In addition to the tickets available for purchase in link above, there is also a special transportation package that includes tickets for the event that are available for purchase directly through Temecula partner, Grapeline Wine Tours.
This event is limited to guests 21 years of age only. All guests must have a ticket for entry and tickets cannot be shared. This event will be held rain or shine. Participating wineries and menus are subject to change without advance notice. All ticket sales are final and are non-refundable or replaceable if lost or stolen during the event. Tickets are transferable to another party.

The last time we went to one of these was in November 1997. We had a great time even with my wife’s medical condition. We bought our tickets during the summer and found out in October that she was pregnant. The nice thing was there there was plenty of delicious food at each of the wineries to pair with the tastings. So I ended up drinking for 2 and she ended up eating for 3.
