This article continues from my first article written yesterday which can be seen here:  OC Restaurant Week Article 1 After attending the launch party for the OC Restaurant Week last night, I tasted quite a few fabulous dishes from a variety of restaurants.  At the bottom of this post, I have the list of the 100 restaurants that are offering prix Fixe menu meals for lunch and dinner this OC Restaurant Week 2013 that will go on from February 24th – March 2nd. If you click on any link on the list you can see the menu offered.

There are so many fabulous restaurant choices in the lineup of the 100 chosen, but my personal favorites from what I tried last night were from Cucina Enoteca, located in Irvine that was sampling a beef cheek with mashed potatoes. It was a fabulous dish with many complex flavors. Another one of my favorites from the night was the lobster macaroni & cheese from House of Big Fish & Ice Cold Beer in Laguna Beach. The flavors in this dish were the perfect blend of each ingredient and upon finishing my sample, it left my mouth watering and I was craving for more.  Another item I loved was from Landmark in Corona Del Mar and they were sampling their poke with fresh ahi tuna on taro root chips.

Frostings Strawberry Cake Pops

Paul Martin’s had a great spread of cheeses and fine meats. To see more about Paul Martin’s, check out my article here about their brunch experience, I had a few months back: Paul Martins Brunch article.  For deserts, I loved the cupcakes from frostings, but my most favorite item they had was the strawberry cake pop..Yum!!

Entering the launch party with my loveOut of the restaurant list below, some of my favorites I have tried in the past that I did not have samples of last night that are a must try if you are looking for a fabulous dining experience with great food are Five Crowns Restaurant and Steakhouse, Chapter One – The Modern Local, Marrakesh, Melting Pot, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, Steakhouse 55 & The Steakhouse 55 yummy cakeCalifornian (now Watertable).
