Next week there is an awesome event coming to Long Beach! It is the Wine, Beer and Spirits Week and it will start on Sunday, September 21 and go through Saturday, September 27th! Sip LBC is the cocktail companion to Eat LBC, Long Beach Restaurant Week. The week long event will highlight the city’s many wine bars, gastro pubs, restaurants, lounges, and traditional pubs.
I attended the official Sip and the City Launch Party on Sunday, September 14 from 4-7pm at Sababa Restaurant & Lounge (now closed down) yesterday to celebrate the start of this awesome week and proceeds for the event benefited Team Spirit Long Beach. See my event photos in post here. 🙂 There was an awesome photo booth, along with the Sababa Restaurant & Lounge’s resident aerialist which performed two awesome shows!
Sip LBC sponsors include Celebrity Cruises, Southern Wine & Spirits, Long Beach Register, Los Angeles Register, Gazette Newspapers, OC Weekly, Greer’s OC, Kiwi Wine Distributors, Absinthe One, Snova Vodka, Diabolo Beverages and Melissa’s Produce.
The week long event of Sip LBC will celebrate the city’s cocktail scene. Many of the participating venues for this special week will offer an array of specials, including:
- Special “562” cocktails for $5.62
- Food and drink pairings for $18.88 (an homage to the year Long Beach was founded)
- All-night happy hour
- Scotch and whiskey tastings
- Martini flights
- Cocktail demonstrations
