Talk to friends and family anywhere in the world for FREE!!! My dad originally introduced me to this application a couple of years back because we both like to travel and this application gives you the opportunity to talk and text with people anywhere in the world for free! All you need is a minimum of a 3G or Wi-Fi connection on your cell phone! With Viber you can send text messages, photos, voice and video messages and make phone calls to anyone else that has the Viber application on their phone!
I used viber when I was in Ireland to call home to California and it sounded like the person was right down the street! I also introduced it to my friend at work last year and we do all of our text message communications through viber because she has limited text messaging options on her phone plan! This application is seriously one of my favorites on my phone as I am able to talk to my friend in Australia weekly and see pictures of her new baby on a regular basis! Download viber now to stay up to date with your family and friends that are far away and close by and do not waste extra money on text messaging and phone bills! I have vonage as my home phone and I have an extension on it on my cell. For texting I use Telegram or Whatsapp 🙂
What’s app is another free texting app. That is a good one. The thing that makes Viber my fave is because you can call, text, and video:)

It does save minutes and text messages!! You just need to make sure both parties have the app to use it:)
Yes, I’ve used the Viber app before on my iPhone.. it’s a great app for communicating with family & friends over international borders at NO COST.. however, when you realize that both parties have to have the app, and that the app won’t run in the background PROPERLY, you quickly come to terms with the fact that, just as Skype, it doesn’t work as you imagined it would :sad face:
I just tell everyone I want to chat with to download the app. it is free and only takes 40 seconds to download. My friend and I in Australia share pictures weekly! Pretty handy and free! 🙂
