I recently attended the Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA and had such a fabulous time! This was the fifth consecutive year of this event and the first time I was able to make it out to and enjoy the festivities! In attendance were a variety of wineries, breweries and top notch restaurants from throughout the LA area as well as a few out of state!
This event included 4 days of debauchery with phenomenal food tastings, cocktails, wine, and beer along with some top notch entertainment, such as the band Roots on the grand finale evening of the event.

I attended the “Lexus Live on Grand featuring The Roots” on Saturday, August 29 with over 30 chefs and 100 wineries! It truly was a grand time on Grand street! 🙂 In addition to the Saturday evening event I attended there were also featured tastings, dinners, lunches, seminars, cooking demonstrations and special events throughout the entire weekend!

Some of my personal favorites from the Saturday night event for wines included The Talbott Vineyards Pinot Noir wine from the Sleepy Hollow vineyard with tasting rooms in Salinas and Caramel Valley. I have never been a big pinot fan, as I always love big bold reds, but this wine knocked me off my feet and I hope to make it out to check out their winery one day soon!

My favorite restaurant at this event was Smoke that came all the way from Dallas, Texas to prepare their food! 🙂 Chef and Co-owner, Tim Bryres cooked up some delicious barbecue as can be seen in my photos that was paired with some local beers from their area!

Another one of my key favorites were the Chicken Croquettes from Ox & Son in Santa Monica from Chef Brad Miller! I have never been to this restaurant but I must visit soon to check this place out! Delish!!

We were excited to see a chef we know and love from one of our local restaurants here in Orange County that started as a food truck and became a restaurant quite awhile ago. Chef Salgado from Taco Maria was live in action with some delectable bites!

I had a great time at the Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival and I am looking forward to the festivities once again in 2016! Enjoy my photos below!
