Entrance to Burger Boss Mission Viejo

I recently went to check out the newest Burger Boss location that recently opened in Mission Viejo!  This burger chain originally started in Riverside and then moved to Corona and has spread throughout the Riverside County area.  They have now arrived in Orange County. With more locations on the way that will be coming soon to Lake Forest, Newport Beach, and Tustin, they are known as being the home of the Grass-fed Burger.

Burger Boss uses all grass-fed beef and they strive to be healthy in more ways than one, unlike other burger establishments.  What does this mean?  Great question! 🙂  Grass-fed beef is all around a better beef than grain beef in that it is leaner, higher in Omega 3’s, and loaded with vitamins and minerals!  For more details about grass-fed beef, see the picture below that hangs on the wall in Burger Boss, Mission Viejo.   In addition to serving grass-fed beef, they also use all fresh natural ingredients!

Wall Art about Burger Boss – Mission Viejo

Upon entering Burger Boss in Mission Viejo, we noticed that you had an opportunity to order your food on the computers on the wall where you can “boss” your burger and your fries, which essentially means to dress them up with all of the essential ingredients necessary to make your mouth water!  You also have a choice of medium or medium well for how you would like your burger cooked.  The prices are reasonable as burgers are $6.99 for a single patty and $8.99 for a double.  Fries range from $2.79 to $4.79 depending up the options selected.

Protein selections for burger include beef, black bean, chicken or turkey.  For buns there was a white Kaiser, wheat grain, or gluten free!  Cheeses included yellow American, Gouda, blue cheese, pepper jack, provolone, Swiss or sharp cheddar. There are also a variety of sauces and toppings to dress your burger and your fries.  There are sweet potato fries in addition to fresh hand cut fries as well!  If you are not up for a traditional burger, they even have a bowl option, where you can order your burger protein style with no bun and dress it up with a bunch of toppings!

For my burger, I ordered my patty medium and opted to add sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and grilled mushrooms on a wheat grain bun!  My burger was tasty and since we also had fries, I unfortunately had to give a portion of my burger to my hubby because I was too full to finish.  I loved the flavor of the meat as it was tender, fresh and cooked perfectly. 🙂

My hubby also got a burger cooked medium on a wheat grain bun and he added pickles, jalapenos, tomatoes, grilled onions, lettuce and tomatoes.  His burger seemed to disappear before I even got to see it.  He quickly gobbled up the deliciousness before he proceeded to eat the rest of my burger as we shared some fries.

For our fries, we ordered the “Boss Fries” which come with house made sharp cheddar cheese sauce and grilled onions.  The fries were delicious and I could not get enough of the cheese sauce! Yum!
