Travel is one of my favorite things to do & I do it quite often as can be seen throughout my travel photos in this article in which I used an awesome rewards program to save money! I want to share about this program with you, so you can start saving money as well!

There are so many Travel Rewards programs available and sometimes it can be hard to figure out which ones truly have the best perks! I want to share about the Orbitz program because I have been using them since April 2013 and I love them! Orbitz Rewards has helped me to save money with discount codes when booking and I have also been able to earn extra money for each trip booked that I am able to use toward future trips!

Once you sign up with Orbitz Rewards, you will automatically start to receive discount codes in your email inbox that you can use toward hotel discounts. These codes are usually 15% off and the most awesome part about the Orbitz Rewards program is that you can combine your discount code and still be able to use your Orbucks on the same purchase, which are essentially the same as dollars! There are no blackout dates for these ever! Each Orbuck you earn is equivalent to one US dollar!

When earning Orbucks rewards, you can get back 5% of your money when booking on the app and 3% of your money when booking on your desktop. I was not even aware that you could get more money back on the app until I started doing research for this article, so I am downloading that app for my next travel booking!! You can also get 1% back when you book a flight or vacation package through Orbitz!

With the Orbucks Rewards program, there are three different tiers and you can move up through the tiers as you book more travel through Orbitz. The three tiers are Silver, Gold and Platinum and I have all of the details about the three different tiers in the chart below.

I have personally earned $85.22 to use on different hotels and this does not include the discounts that I got when booking hotels each time! Just recently, when I traveled to Germany, I got a hotel room that was normally $100 for only $50 with combined discounts and Orbucks! This made me super excited!

As can be seen in my details below I have used Orbitz to travel to Napa Valley, Cork, Dublin, Anchorage, Seward, Hermosa Beach, Cabo San Lucas, and Freyburg. Visiting Wine Country in Cali, Ireland, Alaska, Cabo, and Germany were all items on my bucket list and I am so thankful I had the Orbitz Rewards program to save me money! I just had to share!

I recently realized that Orbitz now offers a travel credit card that has no foreign transaction fees and a dining program. To read about their new credit card, click here –> Orbitz Credit Card. To read about their dining program, click here –> Orbitz Dining Program. Thanks for reading and please let me know if you have any other travel programs that you recommend in the comment section below! I would love to hear your thoughts!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this! Recently my manager told me about this, he travels tons with his timeshare and exchange. I normally shop around (Kayak, TripAdvisor, etc.) when booking flights and rooms, but I think they’re all owned by the same company, so why not join Orbitz Rewards!? Is there a referral link? I’m gonna sign up! Might as well give you credit for the write-up!
Hello G’zy,
Thank you so much for the kind words about my article and I so wish I had a referral link to give you, but they stopped the referral link program awhile back according to their website, so this was an article that just came out of the goodness of my heart to share deals with everyone:) You are right, they are owned by Expedia, so possibly you have an Orbitz account if you signed up for Expedia in the past.:) I have referral links I can get for booking vacations and items of the sort, but none for referrals. 😦 Thanks again for reaching out and for your comment! I hope you are having a fabulous week!
