Last year I attended an awesome event called The Great Wine Festival that took place at the Great Park in Irvine. There were a variety of different restaurant and winery vendors in attendance. I am excited to report that I have been invited back again this year to check out the festivities as well! This year Celebrity Cruises as lead sponsor launches their first Land-Based Wine and Food Festival coming on May 31, 2014 at the Great Park in Irvine from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
Proceeds from The Great Wine Festival will benefit The Legal Aid Society of Orange County, a non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost legal services to individuals of Southern California who might otherwise be denied access to justice. Since its founding in 1958, LASOC has assisted over 500,000 people. This event will feature More than 40 Wineries, Craft Breweries, Spirits Companies and several Top Orange County Restaurants!!
Here is the “Dani’s Decadent Deals” part! There will be early bird tickets on sale for $75 per person if purchased by May 21, 2014. Get them now because after that date ticket prices will go up to $100 per person. Another benefit of this fabulous event being sponsored by Celebrity Cruises is that if you are a Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club member, you are also eligible for a 20% discount on tickets ($60) if purchased by April 30, 2014. There are also designated driver tickets available for $20 each. Discounted tickets are also available for government and non-profit workers, as well as sitting judges. Some of the sponsors for this event include Coast Magazine, Fiji Water, and Air New Zealand. Tourism New Zealand will be featuring the wines of New Zealand. These are some of my personal favorites! Have you ever tried Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough, New Zealand area? If not, you must!! It is literally my favorite white wine out there! Another important guest which will be featuring wines will be the Orange County Restaurant Association/Golden Foodie Awards. Some current wineries and breweries that will be in attendance at The Great Wine Festival this year include: Cakebread, Jordan, Justin, Grgich Hills, Freemark Abbey, St. Francis, Louis-Jadot, Zaca Mesa, Kendall Jackson, Round Pond, Mazzocco, Wente, Benziger, Malibu Rocky Oaks, Alaskan Brewing Company, Pyramid Brewing, Samuel Adams, & BJ’s Brewhouse..Just to name a few.:)
