This past Saturday, I went to enjoy CHILL on the famous Queen Mary in Long Beach for the grand opening weekend! I had a blast at this event last year and was so excited to be invited back to the Queen Mary to visit again and share all about my experience with all of you!
If you have never been to CHILL, aboard The Queen Mary, it is definitely a sight to see! This event is complete with an Ice Kingdom, ice tubing, ice skating, and many more hands on activities for kids to enjoy! My personal favorite that I love is the Ice Kingdom!
Newest to CHILL this year is that all CHILL guests can enjoy unlimited access to The Ice Kingdom, ice tubing, ice skating with skate rentals and a visit on the Queen Mary ship with the purchase of general admission tickets. In past years, there have been individual pricing for these items, but this year prices include everything above, and are as follows: CHILL tickets start at $39.99 for adults and $29.99 for kids (ages 4-11). CHILL will be open select dates Nov. 21 through Jan. 11.

This season The Ice Kingdom at CHILL showcases the holidays in the Golden State with the magic of a California Christmas theme meticulously hand sculpted by a team of international artists, and made entirely out of 2 million pounds of ice. Inside of the 14,000 square-foot Igloo called the Ice Kingdom there are a variety of amazing ice sculptures that tower above you as you make your way through the exhibit in a very cold atmosphere that is kept at less than 9 degrees! See surfin’ Santa, nutcrackers, a candy cane forest, and even an ice replica of the Queen Mary ship with four lanes of ice slides for all to slide down and more! Before entering you must put on the heavy parkas provided by the staff or you will literally freeze. 🙂 I also personally recommend bring gloves and a hat as they will be very worthwhile upon entering the Ice Kingdom.
The Glacier Glide at CHILL is the ice tubing area in which guests can ride an unlimited number of times, ice tubing down six-lanes. These lanes are made entirely out of ice that stands more than two stories tall and 100-feet long!
There is also the CHILL Ice Rink presented by the Port of Long Beach that of course has a gorgeous backdrop of The Queen Mary that is lit up beautifully for the holiday season! Guests can feel free to skate for as long as they choose with free ice skate rentals, and the option to bring your own skates as well on the 6,500 square foot outdoor ice skating rink.
You can also explore the festive holiday village at CHILL that includes a gingerbread house, holiday carolers, Candy Lane and a visit with Santa Claus! There is also live entertainment, food and beverages served throughout the grounds nightly.
