CHILL is returning for the fourth year to The Queen Mary this Friday, November 20th!! You will have another chance to experience the Ice Kingdom, Glacier Glide Ice Tubing, Ice Skating and Holiday Entertainment at the coolest place in Southern California & I have the full scoop below for you about what is new this year and what has returned, as well as a promo code for discount tickets that is good through Thursday! You can use the promo code, CHILL15 to get tickets for only $18.99 instead of the standard price of $34.99! Upon entering CHILL, you will find a life size candy cane forest and you will have the opportunity to explore the penguin village. This area is adorable and festive. See my photos from past years. 🙂 Here are a bunch of awesome things going on at CHILL!
ICE KINGDOM
You will have an opportunity to experience an event like no other with arctic temperatures in Southern California! I cannot think of anywhere else that this happens. 🙂 Each year CHILL transforms over two million pounds of sparkling ice into hand carved colorful ice sculptures that tower above us inside the legendary, Ice Kingdom that is an incredible 13,000 square feet, located inside the Queen Mary’s Dome. For this year’s theme, the Ice Kingdom will bring the Charles Dickens’ classic tale of A Christmas Carol to life with Ebenezer Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come frozen in glistening ice. You will also have the opportunity to walk through scenes from the Nutcracker (my favorite holiday show!!) including castles and sugar plum fairies. Each ice exhibit is precisely hand sculpted and created by an international team of experts China and each sculpture is enhanced with LED lighting to create a magical experience. The Ice Kingdom is kept at nine degrees Fahrenheit to preserve the ice, so make sure to dress super warm! In addition to what you wear, guests will also receive parkas to help protect them from the chilling temperatures. There is also an ice slide inside!
And a disclaimer I must share….”Please note: Strollers are not allowed inside the Ice Kingdom exhibit. There is stroller parking located just outside of the exhibit. The exhibit is ADA friendly. We provide public parkas – but guests are welcome to bring their own jackets and gloves. Ice Slide is only for guests ages 4+. Must be 250 lbs or less to ride. Must be 40″ or taller to ride. “
ICE BAR
The Ice Kingdom will also introduce the new Holiday Ice Bar where you can enjoy a festive cocktail aboard the ship’s frozen bow. I personally cannot wait to check this out even though I know it will be freezing cold inside!
ICE TUBING – THE GLACIER GLIDE
Ice Tubing will also be available at CHILL for you to enjoy! The newest mountain stands 2 stories tall and 100-feet long and it’s made entirely out of ice! You can have the opportunity to grab an over-sized inner tube and slide down on of the 6 awesome lanes of fun! This Glacier Glide activity is included in your CHILL admission ticket!
ICE SKATING
There will be a 6,000 square-foot ice skating rink with the backdrop of the Queen Mary ship. Ice skating is an additional $15 for each 45 minute session, available for purchase as an upgrade to your CHILL General Admission ticket. Free ice skate rentals are included with each ticket, but guests can also bring their own ice skates if they decide to do so.
HOLIDAY VILLAGE
A holiday village will offer visits with Santa Claus, holiday carolers, snow days and live festive entertainment through the CHILL Event.

PRICING
CHILL pricing starts at $34.99 for adults and $24.99 for kids (ages 4-11). Tickets include entrance to The Ice Kingdom, Ice Tubing, CHILL Village and access to the Queen Mary ship. CHILL will be open select dates from Nov. 20 through Jan. 10.
In addition to general admission tickets, E.L.F. (Express Lane Fast) Passes are available for $15! E.L.F. Passes give you priority entry into the Ice Kingdom as well as the Ice Tubing lanes! In addition, you can also get access to the Swingin’ Sleigh Ride – regularly priced at $5 per ride! Please note: there are a limited number of ELF Passes available each day, so get yours right away.
Last but not least, don’t forget if you purchase your tickets, prior to Thursday, November 19th, you can get tickets for $18.99 with promo code, CHILL15. 🙂
