Last night I had an opportunity to sample a few bites off of the menu at El Amerikano which is located in Downtown Fullerton at 100 South Harbor Blvd., Suite D in Fullerton, California. From what I got to try, everything was quite tasty. I did only have small bites of each so I definitely want to revisit this restaurant soon to try more on the menu, but the vibe at this place was awesome!
El Amerikano’s menu is Chef Konstantine Marougas’ style which is a blending of classic American cuisine with non-traditional techniques, and a touch of Latin American flavor. Some new dishes that we sampled last night included Warm Mushroom Salad, Cucumber Ceviche Salad, Brussels sprouts with House-Made Chorizo and Imported Cotija; Mole Eggplant, Al Pastor Chop, and my most favorite of all…the Rib eye which was full of flavor!
“I’m passionate about creating dishes that give guests sensations of both comfort and excitement,” commented Chef Konstantine, who also oversees the kitchen at adjacent sister concept, Kentro Greek Kitchen. “This duality can be seen in my new dishes, which intend to deliver a sense of contentment, but also evoke pleasure and enjoyment.”
Something else I must share with all of you is that El Amerikano is very reasonably priced! Appetizers range from $3-$9 & entrees from $9-$19! This place has some awesome deals, good food and a great atmosphere!
In this article I share my photos of the different dishes I had an opportunity to try last night and I hope to go back to El Amerikano to do a full review sometime soon in the near future! From what I sampled, I was definitely impressed. It looks like an awesome restaurant inside and we enjoyed socializing with bites and wine on the patio! 🙂
