Last weekend I attended the 2nd annual Newport Beach Beerfest at the Newport Dunes in Newport Beach! It was a fun filled day of beer and excitement and I wanted to share some event photos with you for in case you are interested in this event next time it happens. 🙂 I will say the one problem with this event was the line, but hopefully next year there will be separate lines for groupon, vip, general admission, etc. J Besides that I had beer aplenty and event met up with some friends that had a blast as well. 🙂

There were breweries set up all around the Back Bay so there was gorgeous scenery and craft beers galore! Among the beers that stood out to me…One of my favorites was there..Belchin Beaver…The line was super long for that one, so I am sure other people loved it as well! If you have never tried their peanut butter stout, it is a must try for any peanut butter and beer fan!

I tried ginger beer from Jamaica for the first time ever and there were some delicious ciders as well! Hands down, my favorite beer of the day was the Prago Lager Beer from Czech Republic. This beer was truly amazing in flavor and I went back to visit this booth 3 different times! See my photo of this beer in post here. I will definitely be searching in my local BevMo! and Total Wine and More stores. 🙂

The Beerfest also had a wide variety of food trucks with amazing offerings. I decided to try a new food truck on the scene that I had never tried before. The truck was preparing yummy French Food & they were called, Monsieur Madame! They had a delicious Croque Monsieur sandwich and we also shared the veggie sandwich with French fries, another fabulous selection, but it was a bit spicy. 🙂

For Newport Beach Beerfest, the band, Metro Station was scheduled to perform, however their sound equipment was not working and the end of the event was nearing after trying for a half hour to get sound. We were all pretty bummed that the sound equipment would not work and that they could not perform, but surprisingly Metro Station actually invited each of us with them back to their trailer in the parking lot to watch a private acoustic set in addition to meeting each one of us individually in person and taking pictures! It was seriously so awesome and we were all so very excited!! 🙂 They were truly such gracious people and I really enjoyed meeting them as they gave us never-ending thank yous for sticking around. What cool people!!

I left Newport Beach Beerfest thoroughly excited after a fun day of events…unlimited tasty beer, delicious food trucks and meeting the awesome band, Metro Station!! Hope you make it out to Beerfest next time if you missed this awesome day and if you were there, check out my photos and see if you can find yourself in the crowd. 🙂

You are so very welcome Christy!
This sounds like a great event. I am not much of a beer drinker. I can’t get passed the smell to try it.
You must! It is so tasty! Start with a lighter beer and work your way up:)
I dont drink but the food trucks would be awesome to check out.
There were some amazing food trucks! I enjoyed the one with French food:)
The food truck looks great and the whole event looks fun; I sadly do not drink though!
There were great bands and food as well:)
When I lived in California, Newport Beach was part of my territory and I went there a few times on business. I had no idea there was this other side to it., Haha! 🙂
Newport Beach Rocks! So many fun things to do in the city!
