Coming this October on the 5th & 6th of the month there is going to be an awesome event called the Patchwork Show Edible Edition taking place at South Coast Collection (SOCO). SOCO/OC Mix is an awesome place with so many awesome eclectic stores and restaurants. For more about SOCO, see article here: ALL ABOUT SOCO. Patchwork Edible will be an event that will showcase the artisan food movement and will include everything foodie related, such as baking programs, food trucks, restaurant pop-ups, beer and wine gardens and more.:)

This event is sure to be a blast and best of all..It is FREE to attend! I love Free events.:) Of course, you can purchase things at your leisure once inside the event. There will be over 30 workshops to attend, lectures, activities and demonstrations and over 90 food artisans and business in attendance.
In the past Patchwork has predominantly been an arts and crafts festival over the last 7 years and there have been 25 different festivals in total! This year will be a bit different in that everything will be food related.

To get ready for the upcoming Patchwork project put together by Delilah Snell and Nicole Stevenson, a preview event was held at SOCO to learn more and meet some of the fabulous vendors that will be on display at Patchwork Edible this upcoming October! I was excited to attend this event as can be seen in the pictures throughout this post.

Not only will be there be a multitude of business participating in this event, there were also be hands on activities for all ages that will include everything from cheese pulling, coffee roasting, making gourmet ice cream, blending teas, and more!

This event will feature an outdoor marketplace with kids events, lectures, panels, and book signings. Everyone from gardeners to chefs will be in attendance and it will be a great place to learn more about local businesses and grow your own.

This is a can not miss event that will be coming soon. Patchwork Edible will be held at the South Coast Collection (SOCO) at 3303 Hyland Ave., Costa Mesa, CA 92626 on Saturday, October 5th from 11a.m. – 8:00p.m. & on Sunday, October 6th from 11a.m. – 5:00p.pm. Be sure to check it out. 🙂

Images below are from the media preview and they include a variety of vendors mostly from the Los Angeles Area. There were many fabulous vendors I look forward to seeing again and new vendors I cannot wait to meet and have the chance to check out their products! Hope to see you there next month!
