I was recently contacted by the Spa Week program based out of New York and founded by Cheryl Reid to share with my readers about Spa Week, as well as being given an opportunity to experience what Spa Week has to offer!
Spa Week is awesome in that it is a bi-annual event that will be occurring April 13-19 this spring in just a few weeks! Spa Week is a great deal because there are a variety of different pampering options, such as massage treatments and facials that will be available throughout North America in almost every city in every area and each of these treatments will only be $50 for Spa Week only! Read all about my amazing experience at the OC Facial Care Center in Mission Viejo in link in blue to find out what this offer includes and more!
The concept and goal of spa week is simple. According to the founder the goal is to “Bring the spa & wellness experience to the masses by offering full service treatments, normally costing hundreds of dollars, for just $50 dollars each. No longer would a trip to the spa be considered an indulgence and something relegated to the wealthy few. Spa Week was the vehicle that was destined to change an industry and make a spa visit part an affordable healthy lifestyle.”
Spa Week was officially launched in October 2004 with this year being the 11th year that spa week is happening! In the beginning there were a mere 25 spas participating in the New York area & within the last 11 years it has become a cultural phenomenon, even with a few spa treatment centers participating worldwide. I personally looked at the chart and was able to find Spa Week treatments in Asia & Europe! Each year thousands of spas participate all across the country and more.
Starting in 2012 the Spa Week Company launched the Inter-National Spa & Wellness Retail Gift Card Program. The Spa & Wellness Gift Card by Spa Week is accepted at over 8,000 spas and wellness locations across North America and sold in over 43,000 retail stores nationwide through top Retailers such as Target, CVS, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club and Rite Aid and dozens more. These gift cards can be used at a variety of different facilities during Spa Week as well.
“It’s been an amazing journey so far. When I look back ten years ago when the Spa Week brand was born, I never thought I’d be celebrating such success a decade later,” said Cheryl Reid, CEO and Founder of Spa Week Media Group. “I never dreamt that the Spa Week franchise would be embraced the way it has. The response has been both overwhelming and humbling, and we plan to keep in alignment with our initial goal of driving more and more people to the spa for decades to come.”
Seriously how can you go wrong with $50 treatments that are normally along the lines of $100-$200 each? This event is surely a dream for anyone that loves to be pampered! Visit their website as early as possible to view the directory of spa and wellness participants and their $50 offerings. It is recommended that interested spa-goers book their appointments early in advance to ensure their desired treatment times. Don’t forget the dates for this fabulous event are April 13-19!
