The Golden Foodie Awards just took place for the fourth year in a row at the gorgeous Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach on Septmeber 27, 2015. Some of the best restaurants in Orange County had a chance to win the Golden Foodie Award in a variety of different categories! While there were three restaurants nominated in each of the 24 categories, there was only one winner for each group. 🙂
The night started out with a bang with an arrival on the red carpet for all guests in attendance, as well as the presenters, nominees and celebrity host, Simon Majumdar , a well recognized personality of the Food Network! Simon appeared in several shows including Iron Chef America, the Next Iron Chef, The Best Thing I ever Ate, Cutthroat Kitchen, Extreme Chef and Beat Bobby Flay. He is also the author of three books!
As we arrived at the Golden Foodie Awards, there was a variety of delectable bites from participating restaurants which included Andrei’s Consicous Cuisine and Cocktails, Brio Tuscan Grille, Chapter One, Cucina Enoteca, Del Frisco’s Grille, Sol Cocina, Solita, Slapfish, Lillie’s Q, Lucca, Provenance, Provisions, Riptide Rockin’ Sushi, Saide Rose Bread and Cheese Bar, Sea Legs Wine bar, SeaSalt WoodFire Grill, Social Costa Mesa, True Food Kitchen, Wild Goose Tavern, Sub-Zero & Wolf Barbeque Station, and Melissa’s Produce.
There were also a variety beverages provided by Kean coffee bar, Voss Artesian Water from Norway, Ketel One Vodka, Patron Citronage Mango, Coppola Wines, Sofia de Blancs Sparkling Wine, Celebrity Cruises Wine Bar, and Roca Patron!
This certainly was an exclusive event with some of the most fabulous people in the restaurant industry from throughout the Orange County Area. I was honored to attend the bash!
