The 2016 Temecula Valley Annual Barrel Tasting Weekend is coming soon! This Saturday and Sunday, January 30 & 31, 2016 from 11:00am to 4:00pm each day there will be wine tasting madness in the valley & I cannot wait to attend! Even though I will only be able to attend on Sunday, I know it will be a blast, as all events I have attended in Temecula! Have you ever been to wine country in Temecula, California? If not, this is a great opportunity because at the Barrel Tasting, the wineries showcase their newest wines and pair them with food samples as well! Different wineries will be participating on each day of this event. Each day there will be 16 wineries included on your tasting journey!! To see the list of all wineries participating on each day of this event, see schedule below.
This once-a -year event offers ticket holders a self-guided taste and tour of Temecula Valley Wine Country. Guests will enjoy barrel and tank samples, new releases and finished wines along with delicious food samplings that will be offered at each of the winery stops. There are so many fabulous wineries in Temecula, so this will be an event you do not want to miss as a wine lover. You simply pay one set fee for the day and you can taste wine aplenty! 🙂
You have an option to purchase a one day ticket for either Saturday or Sunday and visit 16 wineries or you can purchase a 2-Day ticket and visit up to 32 wineries! A limited number of tickets are available, so order your tickets today! Saturday or Sunday only tickets are $78 each. 2-Day tickets are $128. You can buy tickets through the links provided here: Saturday Only, Sunday Only, & Two Day Ticket.
In addition to simply purchasing tickets, there is also a package that includes an awesome driving service from Grapeline Wine Tours! This awesome company I have worked with in past (see my link in blue) is offering several packages that include tickets to this event along with shuttle transportation. For pricing and reservations please see link here: Grapeline Wine Tour Driving Packages.

There are currently more than 70 growers’ farm vineyards throughout Temecula Valley, selling fruit primarily to Temecula Valley wineries. With a warm climate similar to Napa Valley’s, Temecula Valley is particularly well suited to growing grapes such as syrah, viognier, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, zinfandel and tempranillo; however, more than two dozen grape varieties thrive in the region, including sauvignon blanc, malbec, riesling, chardonnay and many others. Temecula Valley regularly has wineries that participate in and receive awards at different wine competitions. With over 40 wineries now in Temecula Valley, as well as more than 40 distinct grapes in the valley, there is a great variety of wine!
Temecula is conveniently located in Riverside County and is just an hour drive from San Diego, Orange County and Palm Springs! I love visiting Temecula as the stories of my pictures tell in this article. I have had membership at quite a few of the wineries and one of my most popular articles on my blog is about “HOW TO GO WINE TASTING IN TEMECULA FOR HALF PRICE.” Click Blue link on title to read all about it! There are so many fun events that regularly take place in the Temecula Valley! If you are a wine lover or even someone just beginning to learn about wine, I am sure this Barrel Tasting event will have a little something for everyone! I hope to see some of you this weekend!! 🙂
Participating wineries are subject to change without advance notice. All event tickets sales are final and are non-refundable. This event is limited to guests 21 years of age only.
