
Halloween has always been my favorite holiday since I was a small child and so I thought I would do a few articles based upon savings and deals.:) Over the years, there have been so many fun Halloween events I have attended, pumpkins I have carved, fab costumes, parties, and club events. In this first installment of a three part series, I would like to share some random specials and deals I have found for Children & Family Halloween events and pumpkin patches in the Orange County, California area.

Knott’s Camp Snoopy Halloween Costume Party – Located inside Camp Spooky (Camp Snoopy), this is a daytime, non-scare celebration, of cheer rather than fear, and has shows and trick-or-treating geared for kids ages 3-11. Snoopy’s Costume Party runs weekends thru Oct. 31 and is included with regular park admission. 10 a.m. Saturdays-Sundays thru Oct. 31. $44.99-$54.99 adults; $23.99 kids 3-11. Chipotle Restaurants – Visit any Chipotle on Halloween dressed in costume after 4pm until closing and get a $2 burrito, bowl, salad, or taco order!

Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch – has FREE admission and many fun activities! Post coupon and here is link:


Kinderfest in Huntington Beach at Old World Village – Not Halloween but this deal is every Sunday in October. Kinderfest deal includes carnival games, jump on a bouncy house, enjoy German acrobats or see DoDo the Chicken at the Kinderfest. The family 4-pack includes two adult and two children admissions, tickets to Dashund races, two hot dogs and two brats on a roll.

Orange County Performing Arts Center – Peter Pan – Come in costume — or come as you are. Oct. 31 shows only, use promotion code TREAT to take advantage of special savings (code not valid on previously purchased tickets and cannot be combined with any other offers.) 12:30pm – All children (under 12) receive a FREE Neverland map poster, courtesy of the Orange County Register. 6:00pm – NEVER GROW UP! Fullerton: Happy House Halloween Alternative – A fun, safe and family-oriented Halloween alternative with a Candyland theme including: student-led activities, a bounce house, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting and trick-or-treating. 6-9 p.m. Oct. 31. Free admission; Some activities will cost extra. Hope International University, 2500 E. Nutwood Ave., Fullerton. 714-879-3901 ext. 1201.

Huntington Beach: Halloween Fest on Main Street – This is an event for children of all ages with an inflatable rock wall, a slide, an obstacle course, games, video game truck, petting zoo and pony rides, face painting, a haunted house at the Strand, costume contests for kids and dogs and trick-or-treating. 4-8 p.m. Oct. 31. Free admission. Downtown Huntington Beach, Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach. 714-969-0795.

Orange: Halloween Family Fun – The Block at Orange offers a fun way for kids to enjoy Halloween with family-friendly trick-or-treating throughout the mall. Kids can come in costume and participate in the festivities which will include treats from several participating retailers. 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31. Free. The Block at Orange, 20 City Blvd., Orange. 714-769-4000.

Although not on Halloween the Great Park has a fun event for children every year called the Great Park Pumpkin Harvest. We take our daughter every year. $10 parking but free to get in and every child gets free pumpkin! http://www.ocgp.org/events/great-park-pumpkin-harvest-2013/ -Romy
