Just around the corner is the holiday, Cinco De Mayo, or as I like to call it Cinco De Drinko! 🙂 Cinco De Mayo is actually a Mexican holiday celebrated on the fifth of May to commemorate the smaller Mexican army’s defeat of the larger French army on May 5, 1862 in the Battle of Puebla.
I just wanted to share about one of my favorite places that is having a Cinco De Mayo event & the most awesome part is that is goes on for 5 days, not only one! I absolutely love the restaurant Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant and Bar and have been going there for years! I first fell in love with their Mexican Pizza in my early 20’s when my friend, Christine introduced me to their adorable restaurant that was conveniently located in Costa Mesa next to our favorite dance bar, Pierce Street Annex. 🙂
Exactly one year ago on May 7th, Mi Casa’s newest location in Rancho Santa Margarita was born and they will celebrate their 1 year anniversary party, in addition to the Cinco De Mayo Festival! So, here is how it works! From Friday, May 3rd through Tuesday May 7th, Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant and Bar in both locations, Rancho Santa Margarita & Costa Mesa will offer the following specials: $3 Epsolon Silver Tequila Shots, & $7 Partida Skinny Margaritas! At the Rancho Santa Margarita location only, they will also be offering $45 Cabo Wabo Bottle Bucket Service (12 oz. bottles) See flyer attached to this post.

*Rancho Santa Margarita* location only will be having an additional party on Tuesday, May 7th! In addition to their regular Taco Tuesday party which offers $1 tacos, $4 house margaritas, & $5 Cadillac Margaritas, they will also be having a few special events. Starting at 4pm $1 tacos and discounted drinks will begin and then from 6pm-8pm, there will be a Partida Tequila tasting & toast, and the band, “The Creepers” will perform live music from 6pm – 9pm. If you have never
seen “The Creepers” you are in for a treat. I have seen them several times and they are one of my favorite bands to watch…very interactive and you just want to get up and dance. 🙂 See more about them on their website here: The Creepers

Mexican food is my favorite. We have two local restaurants that we prefer when dining out. It would be fun to visit Mi Casa’s party however, I’m so far away. So Dani, have fun for me, too!
