Have you ever visited the restaurant Eureka? They have a wide variety of locations throughout Northern & Southern California, one location in Washington and the newest one to open in Austin, Texas and one other in Dallas! I have been to Eureka quite a few times and in the past I wrote about 2 different lunch visits, one about the Huntington Beach Location & one about the Irvine location! They had amazing food both times and you can click on those 2 blue links to read all about it!
Just recently Eureka contacted me to let me know about their new brunch menu at the Huntington Beach location at the Bella Terra shopping center located right off of the 405 freeway at 7631 Edinger Avenue #1524, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. They invited me in to give it a test drive. I of course kindly obliged because how can you ever go wrong with a Sunday brunch, especially from a restaurant that you have really enjoyed in the past? 🙂
We headed out to Huntington Beach to check out the newest brunch selections prior to our Sunday Funday at Disneyland to store up on some energy before tackling the parks! Both my hubby and I were extremely hungry as we had both woke up around 11am and starved ourselves before making the drive to HB (30 minute drive) for our 12:30 brunch reservation.
I was pleasantly impressed with everything that I saw on the menu, but there were a few specific items that caught my eye! Luckily the hubster and I were able to agree (he is usually a super spicy food person and I am the opposite). This menu had something for everyone and several items that we agreed on! Win win!!
The items we ended up ordering were 4 different unique dishes so I could share all about them with you! In addition to our four amazing entrees that were all decently priced ($10-$12), they also had $5 mimosas and bloody marys available for brunch! See the dishes we selected below!
Creole Benedict came with fried green tomatos, Virginia ham, Creole mustard hollandaise and a side of breakfast potatoes with a side of arugula for $12. This dish was full of flavor and brought me back to memories of visiting one of my favorite cities, New Orleans, Louisiana. I was unsure of how I would like the mustard hollandaise, but after one bite I was hooked and needed more!
My favorite dish of the brunch was the Brunch Ham & Cheese with a fried egg, Monterey Jack cheese, Virginia ham, and Alfredo sauce on Texas toast with a side of arugula for $11. Our waiter had mentioned that this was his personal favorite item on the menu and it was also the first item that my eyes gravitated to when I looked at the menu for the first time. Since I ate this dish, I have been craving it and I need to go back again soon! I loved everything about the flavors of this dish and for some reason that day they prepared this dish for us with some cheddar cheese, but I did not ask any questions…The flavors were pure perfection and blended together so very nicely!
Of course we had to have a sweet treat in our brunch choices and that is where the Bananas Foster Crunchy French Toast with pecans, spiced rum syrup, & homemade whipped cream for only $12 came in to play! This dish was so delicious and while we definitely made a great dent in it, we ended up treating it like a dessert after we went to town on the savory items! I recommend sharing this sweet dish and one savory so that you can get the best of both worlds! I loved this dish and I would definitely get it again!
Last but not least, we really wanted to get something healthy as well and there was a very delicious healthy looking option which was the Granola Greek yogurt with fresh seasonal mixed berries & honey for $10. This was a huge dish of mouth watering morsels that made me smile. Everything was fresh and seasonal and the blend of the ingredients was so delicious, we almost licked the plate!
Overall, I would have to give the Eureka Brunch a really high rating in that I loved each and every item I ate! How can you beat amazing food with fabulous selections and $5 mimosas and bloody marys?? I really hope this brunch menu comes soon to other Eureka locations so that more people can head in to their nearest location to check it out! 🙂
