I am so excited to attend this year’s Taste of Anaheim at the Garden Walk shopping center. If you know me, I absolutely love doing taste of events and I am especially looking forward to this one in that it features so many of the restaurants from the Disney properties that I love.:) There is a great mecca of restaurants that the city of Anaheim encompasses and I am grateful to be a part of this event!

Throughout this post, I have shared pictures of some of the restaurants I have been to that will be serving at the Taste of Anaheim. 🙂

The 18th Annual Taste of Anaheim is coming to the Anaheim Garden Walk on May 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and will offer attendees a chance to sample delicious food, enjoy live music, and bid on amazing silent auction prizes.

“This event is designed to familiarize local residents with the wonderful dining establishments we have in our own backyard,” said Todd Ament, president and CEO of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce. “There are more than 100,000 people employed by restaurants in Orange County and by reminding residents of the great dining options we have in our city and surrounding communities, we are keeping thousands of people employed and strengthening our local economy.”

There will be food served from about 40 different restaurants in the surrounding Anaheim area, some of which I have frequented regularly. Some of my favorites include food such as; Slater’s 50/50 signature burgers; and Bananas Foster from Manhattan Steak and Seafood. Some other participating restaurants include Rainforest Café, ESPN Zone, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, Dave & Buster’s, Catal, The Melting Pot and The Ranch Restaurant. Additionally, local breweries will be present serving their some of their choice craft beers. One of my personal favorite breweries will be there, Hangar 24. If you have not yet tried their orange wheat beer, it is a must do!

For entertainment the band, DSB, a Los Angeles-based band dedicated to the sound and style of rock-legends Journey will be headlining. Other musical guests include Detour 91, a blues group composed of local teens who recently opened for B.B. King at the House of Blues; BOSTYX, an 80s rock and roll tribute band; and Aerorocks, the international Aerosmith cover band known worldwide.

The 18th Annual Taste of Anaheim is sponsored by Anaheim Gardenwalk, Downtown Disney/Disneyland Resort, Anaheim/Orange County Visitors and Convention Bureau, Kaiser Permanente, Freeman and Anaheim Regional Medical Center.

Here is my favorite part being the discounts and deals queen that I am…Discounted tickets to the Taste of Anaheim can be purchased from the event website for $35 plus handling fees. Tickets purchased at the gate are $45 per person. For additional information, contact the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce at (714) 758-0222.
