Orange County Rescue Mission
Last, but not least, I want to mention a donation opportunity to help the Orange County Rescue Mission to donate meals to the needy. Here are the details below obtained by the Orange County Rescue Mission:
“By donating $35 you can provide 24 meals to those in need, feeding a single person three meals a day for more than a week,” explained Palmer. “In fact, a donation of $35 breaks down to a cost of only $1.48 for an entire meal, which is less than the cost of a morning cup of coffee.”
Donating to the Orange County Rescue Mission is simple and can be completed through the organization’s online donation center at www.RescueMission.org. Donors can input their desired donation amount, or choose from the following meal donation options:
·$35 to provide 24 meals, which feeds one person for 8 days
·$71 to provide 48 meals, which feeds one person for 16 days
·$142 to provide 96 meals, which feeds one person for 32 days
·$250 to provide 169 meals, which feeds one person for 56 days
·$500 to provide 338 meals, which feeds one person for 112 days
Meals are provided to those in need in a number of ways. Residents of the Orange County Rescue Mission’s transitional living facilities are fed each day, and the organization’s chili van outreach provides meals to the homeless throughout the county each week. In addition, meals are given to those in need through partnerships with local food banks.”

Those are some really good options.. but for me there is something about eating the turkey from my oven..
I am with you kungphoo! I have always been like that too…but there is also something nice about not having dishes to clean! 🙂
I cant wait until Thanksgiving!!! I might say all of the menus are awesome for thanksgiving..
Oh yes! I love Thanksgiving too! I love cranberry sauce and turkey and the sleepy feeling you get from all of the tryptophan after eating it.:)
In this year’s Thanksgiving, may you find in your heart to remember those who have suffered the anger of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Be grateful for where you are and for another chance to experience life. Happy Thanksgiving.
Nice sentiment! Thank you! 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Thank you for the options for ordering Thanksgiving dinner and not having to make it. I liked that you included some of the prices too. It’s beneficial info when planning a menu and a budget.
Thanks for the comment Rachel:) I hope you get to enjoy one of those places for Turkey day if you decide to do take out or go out to a restaurant.:)
We purchased a complete Thanksgiving meal from Knott’s last year and it was worth the price. I’m all about eating good food, especially if someone else is making it. May check out Mimi’s this year.
Very awesome Romina! Thanksgiving from Knott’s sounds amazing!! I LOVE their food!! Mimi’s has a great meal. I did it one year with my family and we were happy.:) We did the dining in option. I prefer to take everything home though at least on Turkey day:) Have a great Thanksgiving!!
No more turkey for me. But i do like the idea of someone else cooking. Lol
Are you a vegetarian? My friend that is Vegan does a tofurkey. It is quite interesting! 🙂 Have a great Thanksgiving!
Miss Thanksgiving in the USA, it’s my favorite holiday! Up here in Canada our Thanksgiving was in October. Shared!
Thank you Marielle! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving in Canada! 🙂
You’ve done some great work here. We have a Mimi’s…that might be an option!
Great! I hope Mimi’s works out for you! They always do a great job! Have a great Thanksgiving!
We enjoy cooking and getting the family all to pitch in. Thank you for sharing this though.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
I’ve been thinking about this. Thank you for sharing where I can go!
You are so very welcome! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Thank you for sharing, but my kids won’t let me get away without cooking Thanksgiving dinner.
Smart kids:) LOL Just kidding. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Wow never even thought about not cooking on Thanksgiving. I think I would miss the bonding with my family, however, there is definitely something to be said for not having to clean up all those dirty dishes!!
I love the home cooked meal on Turkey Day too:) Sometimes these options are just a bit easier but I am with you:)
Wow, really cool option there.
I think I will cook again this year and I love it 🙂
Awesome! Home cooked meals rock!
although these are really good prepackaged restaurant deals, I still like cooking a meal with my own hands
And I love you cooking it for me my love! 🙂
For some this would be a really good option. But I love to do the cooking and on Thanksgiving it just seems to taste a little better. I do have to say that the stuff you posted really looks good though.
I could not agree more. However there is something really nice about the simplicity of not having to do anything or clean. Have a great turkey day!
Love this list Dani! Sharing on my facebook page. This is great for when I take a meal to my momma!
Thanks so much Raquel for sharing! I qm happy to hear there are items of use to you in this post:-)
