Orange County Restaurant Week is just around the corner and I have all of the details for you here! 🙂 This event is truly the largest culinary event that the OC has to offer and it is hosted yearly by the OC Restaurant Association and this will be the eighth year!! This year at OCRW 2016, there will be 140 restaurants participating from 21 different Orange County cities! Enjoy all of my photos in this article from my own personal visits to many of these restaurants!
From Sunday, March 6 – Saturday, March 12th, participating restaurants will offer prix-fixe, three-course menus within the following price categories: lunch for $10, $15 or $20, and dinner for $20, $30, $40, $50 or $80. Guests will have the opportunity to search the list of 140 participating restaurants by name, location and price point at http://www.OCRestaurantWeek.com. This will be the first year that the new category of an $80 “luxe” menu will be offered that will be meals that will continue wine or cocktail pairings with the meal!
The 2016 participating restaurants include all of these restaurants below, but please visit link in 2nd paragraph for full updated list and menus! See links highlighted in blue for my reviews of certain particular restaurants on the list. I have been to a large majority of these restaurants as well & there are so many amazing offerings at each place! There are so many restaurants this year that I really want to personally visit that I have never been, as well as ones that I know and love! My number one choice I must check out on this list though is 320 Main because I fell in love with their fried chicken dish that was offered at a foodie event I attended last week & I must see what else they offer! “As we enter into our eighth year for Orange County’s largest culinary celebration, OC Restaurant Week, we are thrilled to be able to join nearly two-thirds of the cities the county for this event,” explained Pamela Waitt, president of the OC Restaurant Association. “This year, we go one step further in connecting OC diners to restaurants on our rich culinary landscape by introducing an exciting new element to the pricing structure with an $80 prix-fixe pairing ‘Luxe’ dinner menu offering!”
Another awesome feature that will be taking place during OC Restaurant Week is that select restaurants will offer delicious desserts inspired by and featuring Girl Scout Cookies! Some of the OC Restaurant Week restaurants will even be hosting local Girl Scouts for a Preview Tasting, where the girls will have the opportunity to taste the sweet treats and meet with the restaurant’s chef. Not only will these be an exciting event for the girl scouts, it will also help them have the opportunity to earn culinary and business badges! I remember being a girl scout and it always felt great to earn those badges!! 🙂
To kick of the OC Restaurant week, “FIRST BITES” Launch Party will take place on Saturday, March 5th at the Irvine Marriott from 2-5pm. Tickets are already currently sold out to this event, but if you got them ahead of time and will be in attendance, it will be a great time for all! Please come say hello to me if you see me at the party! There will be over 40 food and drink stations prepared by a variety of OC Restaurant Week participating restaurants.
